Germany Philatelic Society (GPS)

Founded in 1949 by a dedicated group of hobbyists, the Germany Philatelic Society has become a community of collectors, exhibitors, jurors and postal historians for philatelic material of Germany and related areas (e.g., offices, colonies, occupations). The Germany Philatelic Society is American but our members are worldwide.

Website
Mexico-Elmhurst Philatelic Society, International (MEPSI)

Mexico-Elmhurst Philatelic Society International is the only philatelic society specializing completely in the philately of Mexico. We came into being in the 1950’s in Elmhurst, Illinois. At first, a generalist society, we settled upon specializing in Mexico.

Our membership totals approximately 400 people; living in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Switzerland and 10 other countries. Members often come to us seeking a change in their focus. Mexico offers a number of challenges in collecting. Cancellations and overprints are among the foci.

Our magazine, Mexicana, serves as a tool to publicize Society activities to members throughout the year. This includes election results, dues notices and ballot inserts for annual elections. Its main function is to educate the membership and other readers on Mexico’s philately.

Individual members research and write each article. Each member has a different level of expertise in writing. We do not attempt to edit this except to make things more clear than the original.
